Description
Part of a long long... long long long... very long... ongoing project. The rig itself its based off of one from a tutorial on instructables with some key alterations. I made my own backplate from scratch useing thermo-plast. I do not have the forwards backwards movement on this like the instructables tutorial but it was ultimately unneccessary and really, with as much crap as Im working with in movements right now, one less bend to worry about is worth its weight in gold.
Also, remember those fake feathers I did a while back? Those are them! Ill probably do more but I do not intend this set to be nature-realistic. In the end Im going to leave a good chunk of the rig itself exposed and do a semi- steampunk look that will be part costume piece and part wearable sculpture. These will HOPEFULLY be done in time for halloween.
Oh yes, in this pic they are currently being held about 3/4 the way full outstretched via some strategically hooked strings onto my dressform, they folk out a bit more than this and fold all the way in.

hope its not to much to ask but, do you have a link to the tutorial you used for these? That would be so great -
